Janitorial Site Supervisor - EBR School Facility

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and highly motivated Janitorial Site Supervisor to oversee and maintain daily cleaning operations at a school in the East Baton Rouge area for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment. They should be comfortable performing cleaning tasks, supervising a team, setting clear expectations, addressing performance concerns, and ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed to company and facility standards.

The required schedule is as follows:

• Monday–Thursday: 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
• Every other Friday: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
• Every other Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Candidates must be available to work the listed schedule, including alternating Fridays and Saturdays.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily janitorial operations to ensure the site runs efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor employee performance and ensure all team members follow cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and daily protocols.
• Ensure the school facility meets cleanliness standards and all cleaning expectations are completed each evening.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, job responsibilities, and site-specific requirements.
• Communicate assignments, updates, and directives to new and existing personnel.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and performance expectations consistently.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure classrooms, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces meet established cleanliness standards.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and ensure adequate stock is maintained.
• Inspect cleaning equipment and report maintenance needs or equipment issues promptly.
• Address cleaning concerns, employee issues, and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain professional communication with school representatives, company management, and janitorial staff.
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience in a cleaning position for at least one year.
• Prior supervisory, leadership, or management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills— you thrive in a fast-paced, mobile role.
• Desire to excel in developing a strong & positive team cleaning atmosphere.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and health & safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and consistent attendance are essential.
