Janitorial Supervisor – 1st Shift

Flagship Facility Services | Full-Time | Onsite – Airport Operations

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm)

Flagship Facility Services is looking for a motivated and hands-on 1st Shift Janitorial Supervisor to lead our janitorial team at an airport location. What You'll Do

• Lead and motivate the team: Supervise janitorial employees, assign daily tasks, coordinate schedules, and ensure appropriate staffing and work area coverage.
• Maintain quality standards: Inspect assigned areas and ensure all cleaning duties meet company and customer expectations.
• Lead by example: Provide hands-on support when needed, including sweeping, dust mopping, restroom cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and window washing.
• Train and develop employees: Provide job-specific training and reinforce proper cleaning procedures, safety practices, and customer service standards.
• Support customer satisfaction: Address customer concerns, communicate service requests, and help resolve issues promptly.
• Manage supplies and equipment: Monitor inventory, track equipment usage, coordinate repairs, and ensure cleaning chemicals are properly labeled, diluted, and stored.
• Communicate effectively: Report operational concerns, staffing issues, and service discrepancies to management.
• Promote a safe workplace: Follow company policies, airport requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in janitorial services or facilities maintenance.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment, chemicals, supplies, and floor care procedures.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and support employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical cleaning tasks as needed.
• Clean driving record and successful completion of required background screening.

Work Environment & Requirements

This is an onsite position in an active airport environment. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and meet applicable airport security and screening requirements. The role involves standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, lifting, and working around cleaning products, dust, equipment, and moderate noise. Safety equipment must be used when required.
