Janitorial Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor to lead our cleaning teams in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across various commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will oversee daily custodial operations, supervise staff, ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and promote a culture of excellence in cleanliness. Your leadership will be vital in delivering top-tier janitorial services that meet client expectations and uphold our commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff to ensure efficient cleaning and sanitation of all assigned areas.
• Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify adherence to safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and quality standards.
• Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Enforce safety regulations during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and promote a safe work environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning with a strong understanding of sanitation practices.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork and motivation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to custodial work, including OSHA standards where applicable.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent communication abilities for managerial interactions.
• Experience managing cleaning & sanitation operations within hospitality or housekeeping environments is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering quality janitorial services that exceed expectations.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
