Janitorial Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, including commercial and industrial settings. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for both employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct custodial duties including dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and emptying trash bins.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Execute floor care tasks such as buffing and waxing to ensure polished surfaces.
• Assist with residential painting projects when necessary.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and commercial cleaning standards is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of floor care methods and equipment operation is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
• A proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention or improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
