Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various facility areas
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively and safely
• Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and sealing to maintain optimal flooring conditions
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment
• Follow established safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment during all cleaning activities
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and other designated spaces with attention to sanitation standards
• Support basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues promptly
• Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to staff or visitor inquiries related to cleanliness or facility needs
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for optimal use

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is highly desirable
• Experience with floor buffing, polishing, or other floor care techniques is a plus
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service
