Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain pristine environments.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure workspace for yourself and others.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to achieve professional-grade results.
• Conduct floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, and maintaining various flooring surfaces to extend their lifespan and appearance.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs, light painting, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
• Follow strict safety protocols during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
• Support sanitation efforts by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas in accordance with health standards.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from building occupants.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper chemical handling safety procedures.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums is advantageous.
• Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safe lifting practices to manage supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or painting adds value to your skill set.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols applicable in custodial work environments.
• Customer service experience that highlights your ability to communicate effectively with clients or building occupants while maintaining professionalism.
