Janitorial Worker

Job Summary

Part Time Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained to promote a healthy environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without risk.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks with safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance.
• Restock supplies such as coffee, cups, paper, plates, coffee, creamer, sugar, paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products to ensure continuous availability.
• Follow all safety procedures during custodial tasks to prevent accidents or injuries while handling cleaning chemicals or equipment.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with strong custodial skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including sanitation standards and floor care methods.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently and safely.
• Familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures to prevent hazards during cleaning operations.
• Physical strength and stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Good communication skills combined with a customer service mindset to interact professionally with staff and visitors while performing duties.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
