Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to facilities maintenance and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct commercial cleaning of offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Maintain floor care by buffing and polishing surfaces as needed.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage custodial duties such as trash removal and recycling.
• Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the facility by performing porter duties.
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are in good working order.
• Occasionally assist with residential painting projects as required.

Experience

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Familiarity with buffing machines and floor care equipment is a plus.
• Experience in industrial cleaning environments is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
