Janitorial Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role involves performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial or residential cleaning, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained workspace while developing skills in custodial services and facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across designated areas
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, cleaning machines, and restroom sanitation
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques.
• Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance and general upkeep
• Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively
• Ensure all work areas are kept safe, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Wipe down and clean exterior surfaces of machines, equipment, and control panels, following all safety procedures.
• Remove oil, coolant residue, dust, and grime from machine exteriors without disrupting machine setup or calibration
• Clean workbenches, handrails, doors, carts, and other common-touch surfaces
• Maintain cleanliness around machinery without interfering with production operations
• Follow established health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a clean environment

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
• Experience with floor care including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is advantageous
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies used in industrial or large-scale cleaning operations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
