Janitor/Public Area

About the Role

Daimyo Bali is looking for a reliable and hardworking Janitor / Public Area to join our team on a contract basis in Seminyak, Bali.

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall condition of our public areas. The successful candidate will help ensure a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including lobbies, corridors, staircases, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform routine cleaning as required.
• Clean and sanitise public restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Empty rubbish bins and replace bin liners regularly.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Carry out periodic deep-cleaning activities, including floor polishing and carpet cleaning.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals.
• Follow all hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
• Maintain consistent cleanliness standards during both busy and quiet periods.
• Work closely with the team to ensure all public areas are properly covered and maintained.

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial, public area, or cleaning roles, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and handle cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible or varied shifts.
• Familiar with proper cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
• Basic understanding of health, hygiene, and safety procedures.
• Professional and respectful when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Able to communicate in English. Additional language skills will be an advantage.
