AI / Java Developer – Agentic AI

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI / Java Developer to support a major Private Banking and Trust transformation project. The role is approximately 50% Java development and 50% Agentic AI, focused on building scalable AI-enabled solutions for KYC, payments and workflow automation.

The role will leverage existing, enterprise-approved AI tools and LLMs to develop and deploy production-ready AI agents within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Agentic AI solutions for KYC, payments and operational workflows.
• Develop backend applications and services using Java.
• Integrate AI capabilities into a new in-house Trust platform.
• Build AI-powered workflows using LLMs, AI orchestration, APIs and vector databases.
• Deploy scalable AI solutions into enterprise production environments.
• Ensure solutions meet AI governance, security and regulatory requirements.
• Work with CI/CD, cloud technologies and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in software development, AI engineering or related roles.
• Strong Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents / Agentic AI solutions.
• Experience deploying production-ready, scalable solutions in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of LLMs, AI orchestration, REST APIs and vector databases.
• Understanding of AI security, governance and compliance.
• Financial services or other regulated industry experience preferred.
• Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin required.
