Job Type: w2 Contract Position

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Java Architect to design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications for a financial services client. The candidate will work closely with engineering, product, and architecture teams to define technical solutions and drive end-to-end implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and modern application frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership for Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems .
• Define application architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
• Work with Oracle/SQL databases , messaging systems, and cloud technologies.
• Lead integration of applications with internal and external financial systems.
• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and reliability requirements.
• Review technical designs and provide guidance to development teams.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders.
• Support modernization of legacy applications into modern Java/microservices architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex production and performance issues.

Required Skills:

• 12+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development and architecture .
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices .
• Strong experience with REST APIs, SQL, Oracle, and distributed systems .
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies .
• Strong understanding of design patterns, system architecture, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) .
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, Git, and DevOps practices .
• Strong experience working in Banking/Financial Services environments.
• Excellent communication, architecture documentation, and technical leadership skills.
