Position: Senior Java Backend Developer
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Experience: 5+Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Spring Batch to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications and batch processing systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch while working in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and support complex batch processing solutions using Spring Batch.
• Create and optimize ETL-like data processing workflows for large volumes of data.
• Design robust batch jobs, job scheduling mechanisms, and fault-tolerant processing frameworks.
• Integrate applications with databases, external APIs, messaging systems, and enterprise platforms.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize application efficiency.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Implement security, logging, monitoring, and exception-handling mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Create technical documentation and ensure adherence to coding best practices.

Mandatory Skills

Core Java & Backend Development

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17.
• Solid experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

Spring Batch Expertise

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing:
  • Job Configuration
  • Chunk Processing
  • Item Readers, Processors, and Writers
  • Job Scheduling
  • Partitioning and Parallel Processing
  • Job Monitoring and Error Handling
  • Restartability and Fault Tolerance
• Experience handling high-volume batch processing.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
