Java Backend developers

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot services.
• Implement business rules from functional and technical specifications.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate with enterprise services.
• Create database-access components and reliable data-processing logic.
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit and integration tests.
• Investigate defects, support root-cause analysis, and resolve development and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, build pipelines, deployments, and production support.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, QA, operations, and support teams.

Required Technical Skills

• Core Java, preferably Java 8 or later.
• Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• JUnit, Mockito or equivalent testing frameworks.
• Git/GitHub and basic CI/CD practices.
• Debugging, analytical problem-solving, and secure coding fundamentals.
• Basic Linux/Unix and application-server knowledge.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in financial services, investment operations, accounting, reconciliation, or asset servicing.
• Experience modernizing legacy or mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Exposure to AS400/IBM i and DB2.
• Azure or AWS experience; Docker and Kubernetes exposure.
