Job Description Java / Spring Boot Technical Lead

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java / Spring Boot Technical Lead with strong hands-on development expertise and proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of microservices, API design, CI/CD, databases, and Agile delivery practices.

Experience in the Banking and Financial Services domain will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures and robust RESTful APIs.
• Lead, mentor, and guide development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and design reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to improve deployment efficiency and application reliability.
• Design, optimize, and maintain databases with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, performance issues, and production defects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to effective Agile project delivery.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Promote engineering best practices, clean coding standards, and continuous improvement within the development team.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and API design.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring software development teams.
• Hands-on experience with code reviews and design reviews.
• Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of database design and performance optimization.
• Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech domain is preferred.
• Experience working on large-scale, enterprise-level applications will be an added advantage.
