Java developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using Java.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Work with cloud platforms and services to support the deployment, scalability, and reliability of applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code, following software development best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, QA Engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Ensure application quality through automated testing, code quality standards, and continuous improvement.
• Share technical knowledge and support other team members when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with microservices architectures.
• Experience working with cloud environments, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience working in Agile environments, preferably Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and software testing best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with frontend development using Angular or React .
• Knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-native development.
• Experience contributing to technical design decisions and mentoring less experienced developers.
