Job Profile Summary:
In this role, you will design, develop, and provide support backend microservices to power customer experience by Life Insurance Distribution channels.

This is a hands-on software engineering & software engineering role.

In-depth of knowledge and expertise that can be applied to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with multiple stakeholders regularly to stay focused on common goals.

Job Description:
Deliver technical excellence.

Contribute to the translation of business requirements into well-architected software solutions.

Participate and at times facilitate technical discussions with the team.

Develops data integration, migration, and deployment strategies.

Deliver applications in accordance with relevant IT policies and procedures.

Adhere to company’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Contribute to the technical training & development of the team.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.

Have a passion for delivering zero defect high quality code, with proactive mindset.

Own end-to-end delivery responsibility for modules, participate in Continuous Integration activities, automation frameworks for testing and deployments and other related items.

Technical Skills

Candidate must have hands-on experience with

Spring Reactive Programming, which is a key requirement for this role

Strong background in design/development (functional and non-blocking programming) and support of large web-based systems, complete software product lifecycle exposure

Strong culture on Software Testing (Unit Test, TDD, BDD)

7-12 years of Back End development experience

Experience and affinity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Strong background in design/development of Java/Spring Boot based systems.

Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning, engineering best practices, and deployment methodologies

Must have Experience with:
Java 17+

(Java 21 preferred)

RESTful APIs and Microservices development (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)

TDD/BDD (JUnit, Mockito and cucumber)

Any RDBMS and NoSQL

Code Version Control tools (GIT)Basic of DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)Basic of Cloud platform (Services like Kubernetes, API Gateway)

Basic of Event Bus (confluent - Kafka)
