Java Developer

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required Education:

o Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

• Required Experience:

o 3-5 years relevant experience

• Required Competencies/Skills:

o Knowledge of the application of the different SDLC methodologies in system

development

o Knowledge of relational databases (RDMS)

o Java and Oracle Development environment

o RDBMS/PLSQL

o Java (SE 8 and above; working knowledge of Java 1.6–1.7 for legacy modules)

o Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data

o JPA / Hibernate, including legacy HBM mappings

o Oracle SQL

o Queries, views, stored procedures, performance tuning

o Jasper Reports/ iReports

o REST API design and integration

o Git, Maven

• Good to have:

o Angular used in newer front-end modules

o Struts 2 /WebWork

o Apache Tomcat deployment and troubleshooting

o Scheduled batch jobs and file-based integrations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for designing and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable Java applications, covering all stages of the software development lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.
• Writes efficient, reusable, and testable code while ensuring compliance with coding standards and technical specifications.
• Participate in the development of application enhancements by collaborating with other technical resources and understanding conceptual design and applying it to business objectives and requirements
• Prepare Comprehensive Technical Requirements documentation for developers (UI layout, Table designs, Process flow diagrams, Data Dictionary, report layout)
• Perform Systems Integration Testing and Data validations on completed enhancements or new modules completed
• Prepare approximate estimates for development efforts associated with application enhancements
• Contribute to the review of technical design for application enhancements by collaborating with stakeholders as needed to ensure application development meets architecture guidelines and standards
• Serve as a technical resource by providing consultation during creation of test cases and answering business and technical inquiries
• Respond to service desk escalations and develop resolutions to ensure quality of service
