Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and integrate software components within an Agile team, delivering valuable product increments at the end of each sprint.
• Contribute to sprint backlog completion by collaborating across analysis, design, development, testing and integration activities.
• Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply cloud development practices and ensure solutions align with architectural standards, security procedures and development guidelines.
• Work with infrastructure components, including operating systems, networking, databases and middleware.
• Collaborate closely with team members, share knowledge and communicate effectively to achieve squad objectives.
• Promote continuous improvement in development practices, delivery speed and operational quality while adhering to Agile and Scrum values.

Experience Required

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in software development.
• Mandatory expertise in Java and Spring Boot , with experience in Docker, Kubernetes, microservices and cloud development .
• Excellent understanding of IT architecture, including hardware, operating systems, networking, databases and middleware.
• Knowledge of development methods, standards, security procedures and development tools.
• Mandatory knowledge of Agile methodology and the ability to collaborate effectively within a Scrum team.
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and squad objectives.
• English is mandatory , as it is used in meetings and all documentation.
• French is used for day-to-day communication in the workplace. Dutch is a nice-to-have.
• Working arrangement: 50% onsite and 50% homeworking .

Nice to have:

• Integration experience involving distributed systems, mainframe technologies and infrastructure components.
• Cloud development experience on IBM Cloud – DMZR.
• Knowledge of KESMA and Elasticsearch.
