Java Developer / Hadoop Platform Engineer

Luxoft is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with advanced Apache Hadoop expertise to join our engineering team.

This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond Hadoop administration and has hands on experience troubleshooting complex issues, analyzing source code, and modifying Hadoop components when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications and platform components

• Troubleshoot complex Hadoop issues and perform root cause analysis

• Read, debug, and modify Hadoop source code

• Develop and apply patches to customize Hadoop components

• Automate infrastructure, configuration, and deployment activities

• Collaborate across platform engineering, development, and CI/CD

Must Have Skills

• Strong Java development experience

• Advanced Apache Hadoop expertise, including source code analysis and modification

• Strong Linux knowledge and distributed systems troubleshooting

• Experience with Git and CI/CD

Nice to Have

Ansible, Kubernetes, Python, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Istio.

English: C1 Advanced
