Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in IBM InfoSphere to join our enterprise application development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, enterprise application development, and IBM InfoSphere technologies , with experience developing and integrating data-driven applications.

This role is primarily focused on application development and engineering and requires a candidate who can work closely with technical and business teams to design, develop, integrate, and enhance enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications .
• Work with IBM InfoSphere technologies to develop, integrate, and enhance data management solutions.
• Develop application components using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot .
• Build and integrate REST APIs, web services, and enterprise interfaces .
• Work closely with business analysts, architects, data engineers, and other development teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Develop and implement data integration and processing solutions using IBM InfoSphere technologies.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following established development standards.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues and implement appropriate fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
• Work with databases and develop complex SQL queries as required.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and release activities.
• Support CI/CD and automated deployment processes where applicable.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for applications and integrations.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development .
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Java 8+, OOP, Collections, Multithreading, and Exception Handling .
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot .
• Hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere technologies.
• Experience developing and integrating data management/data integration solutions using IBM InfoSphere.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and web services .
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Experience working with enterprise application integrations.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools .
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM, InfoSphere DataStage, or related InfoSphere products .
• Experience with enterprise data integration and master data management concepts.
• Experience with microservices architecture .
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or other large enterprise environments is preferred.

Key Requirement

Candidates should have strong hands-on Java development experience along with practical IBM InfoSphere experience . The role is focused on application development, integration, and enhancement , rather than being primarily a production support or monitoring position.
