Java Developer (Mid-level)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Developer to develop, maintain, and enhance web applications and backend services. The role will focus on Java and Spring Boot, including API development, business logic, database integration, and automated testing. You will collaborate with developers, QA, product owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs that are secure, performant, and well-tested.
• Implement business logic and backend services based on functional and technical requirements.
• Work with relational databases, including SQL, schema design, and data access using Spring Data/JPA.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code following established development practices.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Collaborate with QA, product owners, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, refinement, and retrospectives.
• Support application deployment, troubleshooting, and production-related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Java software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of Spring MVC and Spring Data/JPA.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with automated testing, particularly JUnit and related testing tools.
• Proficiency with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
