Java Full Stack cum DevOps Engineer

Job brief

We are looking for a full stack developer cum devops engineer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

As a full stack developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player.

Responsibilities

· Work with Business Analyst and translate user requirements into applications which meet business needs

· Work with development teams and team managers to develop well-functioning software solutions

· Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimate and justify the estimate with facts

· Designs, codes, tests, debug, and documents software, and enhance existing components

· Write effective and quality code with performance, security, loosely couple and best practice in mind

· Understand the systems assigned, its’ modules and the integration with other systems and be able work on either the frontend or backend of any component or module

· Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

· Produce functional and technical documentation

· CI/CD Pipeline Management - build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

· Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - provision and manage cloud infrastructure programmatically using Terraform.

· Container Orchestration - deploy and scale containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.

· Communicate effectively within immediate team

Java Requirements

· Proven 5+ year of strong hands-on experience as a full stack java developer (Java 8/11/17+) or similar role

· Experience in cloud environment with designing, developing and implementing on Azure Cloud platform + AKS (Kubernetes) +API gateways deployment and settings

· Experience in CI/CD pipeline

· Experience in common stacks (Java Core, JEE, JDBC, JPA, etc) and Apache Software Foundation frameworks and libraries

· Experience of working in front-end, HTML 5, CSS3, Javascript and frameworks

· Experience of working in back-end, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, Web services (REST API, WSDL, SOAP)

· Design and development of RESTful APIs and microservices

· Experience of working in java IDE, SVN, Maven and CI tools

· Good knowledge of OOP concept and design with best practice, design patterns, and clean coding practices

· Familiarity with RDMS databases (Oracle, DB2), application server (JBoss, Tomcat) and web servers (Apache)

· Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Azure Service Bus, Kafka)

· Experience with Maven/Gradle build management

· Unit, integration, and automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and related frameworks

· API testing using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI

· Performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting of Java applications

· Secure application development and OWASP best practices

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Great attention to detail and analytical mind

· Degree in Computer Science or relevant field

· Proven experience supporting both BAU and project delivery

Azure Cloud & DevOps Skills

• 3+ years in Azure Cloud & DevOps, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience deploying infrastructure using Terraform
• CI/CD pipeline implementation using GitHub Actions
• Source control and version management using Git/GitHub
• Containerization using Docker
• Orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure services such as:
• Azure App Service
• Azure Key Vault
• Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
• Azure Storage
• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure provisioning and deployments
• Monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Network and security concepts (VNet, NSG, Private Endpoints, Managed Identity)
• Secrets and certificate management

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:
