Java Full Stack Developer

Role: Java Full Stack Developer -

Location: Mountain View, California - Hybrid - 3 Days office.

Duration: Long Term

Visa Restriction: W2 only

Note: 80% Backend and 20% Frontend

Tech Stack: Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot (Backend); React, TypeScript (Frontend); Kafka, Elasticsearch, SQL/NoSQL, Kubernetes, AWS

Key Responsibilities

• Drive End-to-End Initiatives: Lead technical initiatives across every layer of the stack, from API and data design to front-end experiences .
• Architect & Build: Develop scalable, secure, cloud-native applications that interoperate cleanly with surrounding systems .
• Hands-On Coding: Roughly 70% of time is spent coding while also setting technical direction for the team .
• Technical Leadership: Act as a subject-matter expert, lead design reviews, and mentor engineers through complex problems .
• AI Integration: Identify opportunities to apply AI to enhance products and engineering workflows, and coach the team on responsible AI use .
• Quality Champion: Drive automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance, security, and accessibility standards .

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years designing and developing online SaaS applications with full-stack expertise .
• Backend: Strong expertise in Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot (or comparable frameworks) .
• Frontend: Strong expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (or comparable modern framework) .
• APIs: 5+ years building and consuming web APIs (REST, ideally gRPC/GraphQL) .
• Leadership: Proven track record in setting technical direction, running design reviews, and serving as a cross-functional go-to person .

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes .
• Familiarity with Kafka (event streaming), Elasticsearch, and SQL/NoSQL database design .
• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI/GenAI capabilities (LLM prompting, model integration) .
• Experience with observability instrumentation (metrics, logging, tracing) .
