Java Full Stack Engineer

Join Morgan Stanley's Prime Brokerage and Securities Financing Technology team and help build and enhance business-critical applications supporting securities financing and prime brokerage operations. You'll work in a highly collaborative global environment, partnering directly with business stakeholders and technology teams across New York, London, Budapest, Glasgow and Mumbai.

You will:

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java-based technologies
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to production deployment
• Collaborate directly with business users and global technology teams
• Develop scalable, reliable and maintainable solutions following engineering best practices
• Create and maintain automated tests to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Participate in Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support and enhance applications built with Java, Scala and Angular technologies
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, stability and platform scalability

✅ You have:

• 7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework
• Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, JBehave or Concordion
• Knowledge of relational databases such as DB2, Sybase or similar RDBMS platforms
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Unix/Linux environments
• Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices
• Strong communication skills and experience working with globally distributed teams
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

The Prime Brokerage and Securities Financing Technology team provides technology solutions that support core Prime Brokerage functions including custody, client service, reporting, capital introduction, sales and finance. The group also develops and maintains platforms supporting the trading and post-trade processing of Securities Finance Transactions as well as collateral management and optimization. The team operates globally and works closely with business stakeholders across multiple regions.
