Java Fullstack Developer-1 day/week onsite

Meerab Group is looking for a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to help design, build and maintain secure, scalable and user-friendly applications. You will contribute across backend services and frontend interfaces, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help deliver reliable solutions that meet business needs.

Candidate must be EU citizen and open to go onsite to Brussels BE for 1 day a weeky

Role: Java Fullstack Developer

Location: Brussels Belgium

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using Angular or React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.

Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, backend services and application components.

Work with relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies such as JPA/Hibernate.

Write clean, reusable and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.

Create and maintain unit and integration tests, troubleshoot defects, and improve application performance.

Collaborate with business analysts, QA, DevOps and other developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Use version control and delivery tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience

Solid hands-on experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem, especially Spring Boot.

Practical frontend development experience with Angular or React and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices and application integration.

Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server.

Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito, and tools such as Maven or Gradle.

Knowledge of Git, Agile delivery practices and software engineering best practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.

Nice to Have

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), and CI/CD automation.

Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or JWT.

Experience with event-driven architecture or messaging tools such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
