Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and related technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Lead the integration of Mulesoft Anypoint Platform to connect various enterprise applications and cloud services efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system specifications, create UML diagrams, and develop comprehensive system design documentation.
• Implement microservices architecture principles to ensure modularity, scalability, and maintainability of applications.
• Develop and optimize APIs for performance, security, and usability while adhering to best practices in API management.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
• Utilize version control tools such as GitHub or SVN within Agile/Scrum environments to manage code repositories effectively.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or TFS.

Skills

• Extensive experience with Java development including Java SE/EE frameworks and application design principles.
• Strong proficiency in Mulesoft Anypoint Platform for API-led connectivity solutions.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, SOAP web services, and system integration techniques.
• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as React or Angular for full-stack collaboration is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying distributed systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, distributed computing concepts, multithreading, and system scalability strategies.
• Proficiency with modern software engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines, UML modeling, version control (Git/TFS), unit testing frameworks, and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to analyze system requirements thoroughly using UML diagrams and translate them into efficient application designs.
• Strong debugging skills combined with a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex issues across distributed environments.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
