Java Spring Boot Developer 4-7 yrs | Mumbai only

We are seeking an experienced Java Spring Boot Developer with 4 - 7 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate/JPA, SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, API integrations, and performance optimization.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling backend development, troubleshooting production issues, participating in technical discussions, and contributing to architectural and design decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design scalable and maintainable backend architectures for high-volume applications.
• Develop and maintain APIs and document them using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Handle JSON and XML data serialization, transformation, validation, and integration.
• Design and optimize persistence layers using Hibernate, JPA, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Implement caching strategies using technologies such as Ehcache or similar caching solutions.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and availability under high load.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement appropriate optimization techniques.
• Integrate with third-party APIs and services, including payment gateways such as Cashfree, PayU, etc.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for backend services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, technical estimations, and architectural decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Develop unit and integration tests using appropriate testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, story grooming, estimations, and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving development standards and engineering practices.

Required Skills:

• 4 - 7 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience developing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate and JPA.
• Strong experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Working experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of JSON, XML, API serialization, parsing, and validation.
• Experience with third-party API and payment gateway integrations.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
• Experience with performance optimization, debugging, and production issue resolution.
• Proficiency with Git and Maven.
• Experience with JUnit and unit/integration testing.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Spring Security, JWT, and OAuth2.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Experience with AWS/Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Ehcache, Redis, or other caching technologies.
• Experience working on B2B/B2C transaction-heavy applications.
• Experience with payment systems, financial transactions, or other high-volume integrations.
• Good understanding of distributed systems and scalable application architecture.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or taking ownership of technical modules.
