Java Support Engineer

Job Scope: We are seeking an experienced Java professional to implement, configure, support, and enhance financial software products. This role combines Java development, product implementation, deployment, client-facing support, and production incident management responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Product Implementation

• Implement and configure financial software solutions based on business requirements.
• Participate in client onboarding, deployment, and rollout activities.
• Support application customization and integration requirements.

Java Development & Enhancements

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based modules and integrations.
• Build and support REST APIs.
• Perform code fixes, enhancements, and performance improvements.

Production Support

• Provide L2/L3 support for mission-critical financial applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
• Analyze application logs, system alerts, and monitoring dashboards.
• Escalate critical issues appropriately and ensure timely resolution.

Incident & Problem Management

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Implement preventive and permanent corrective solutions.
• Participate in incident reviews and post-mortem discussions.

Deployment & Environment Support

• Support release management and deployment activities.
• Manage environment configurations and application setups.
• Coordinate deployment verification and rollback procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of Java development experience.

• Experience implementing and configuring software products.

• Strong exposure to production support environments (L2/L3).

• Hands-on expertise in:

• Core Java

• Spring Framework / Spring Boot

• REST APIs

• SQL Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL)

• Experience troubleshooting production issues and analyzing logs.

• Strong debugging and root cause analysis capabilities.

• Linux/Unix server administration and command-line experience.

• Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to interact directly with clients and business users.
