Java Technical Lead (Cluj-Napoca / Bucuresti)

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer who can both build high‑quality backend services and provide technical leadership in a cloud‑native, OpenShift‑based environment. You will work on mission‑critical systems, contribute to architecture and design decisions, and help drive engineering best practices across the team.

To perform in the Java developer role, we would like you to have:

• 7+ years of experience in Java backend development (enterprise / distributed systems).
• Strong knowledge of Java, OOP, design patterns, and API‑driven development (REST).
• Solid experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORM frameworks (JPA / Hibernate).
• Experience building high‑throughput, low‑latency systems.
• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
• Experience with event‑driven or streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka).
• A collaborative mindset and strong problem‑solving skills.

Nice to have experience with:

• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Hexagonal / Clean Architecture.
• Experience with GraphQL and/or Oracle Database.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and production operations.
• Coding AI agent tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Windsurf.

• Lead by example through clean, testable, and maintainable code, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Build and operate containerized applications deployed on OpenShift, following cloud‑native principles.
• Collaborate closely with product, QA, and DevOps to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues in high‑availability systems.
• Support continuous improvement by evaluating technologies, patterns, and development.
