JCB DRIVER

Job Summary

Operate JCB safely and efficiently for excavation, loading and site works while maintaining the machine and following safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate JCB/backhoe loader safely and efficiently at construction and project sites.
2. Perform excavation, digging, loading, levelling, clearing, and other site-related works as instructed.
3. Ensure the JCB is operated according to site requirements and work instructions.
4. Conduct daily checks on the machine, including engine oil, hydraulic system, tyres, fuel, and other components.
5. Report any machine defects, breakdowns, or maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
6. Ensure proper and safe handling of the machine to prevent damage to equipment, property, and surrounding areas.
7. Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the JCB.
8. Follow all site safety rules, procedures, and instructions at all times.
9. Assist with general site activities when required.
10. Work closely with the Site Supervisor and other workers to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
11. Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating JCB/backhoe loader or similar heavy machinery.
2. Valid and relevant competency licence/certificate to operate the machinery.
3. Able to operate JCB safely and efficiently in construction site conditions.
4. Basic knowledge of JCB operation, daily inspection, and routine maintenance.
5. Responsible, punctual, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
6. Able to follow instructions and work well with supervisors and other workers.
7. Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and under site conditions.
8. Willing to work overtime when required.
9. Willing to travel or relocate to different project sites when required.
10. Possess a valid driving licence is an advantage.
