JCB fast track operator

We are seeking an experienced driver who will operate a JCB fast track & silage trailer moving wood chip to different locations around the site.

If you are an experienced Tractor and Bowser operator this will be advantageous.

Hours of work are: Monday to Thursday 6am to 6pm, Friday 6am to 5pm, Saturday 6am to 3pm/finish. Weekend working is a requirement of at least 2 in 4 and is paid at a premium.

Responsibilities:

• Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure wood chip is moved within a timely manner
• Whilst operating a tractor and bowser you will ensure dust suppression is kept to a minimum
• Keep in regular contact with colleagues via a hand held radio
• Follow site Health and Safety rules and procedures at all times
• Perform any other task given within your capabilities and at any other of our sites

Successful candidates must hold a valid license for applicable machinery and will have previous experience in a similar fast paced working environment. If you are first aid trained this will also be beneficial. Excellent communication skills are key as you will be expected to communicate with colleagues through use of a hand held radio. The job is performed out side and full PPE will be provided for all weather conditions. Full training will be given as well as a progression plan being implemented upon a successful probation period.

Starting hourly rate of pay is £14.42.
