About the role

Makati Life Medical Center is seeking licensed physicians with a strong interest and experience in pediatric care to join our team as Pediatrics Junior Consultants (JCon). The role involves 24-hour duty from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, with 2 Pediatrics Junior Consultants per duty.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, manage, and monitor pediatric patients, from infants to adolescents
• Attend to pediatric referrals, admissions, and other patient care requirements during duty
• Recognize changes in pediatric patients' conditions and promptly escalate concerns to the attending Pediatric Consultant
• Assist in the initial management of urgent and acute pediatric cases
• Coordinate closely with Pediatric Consultants, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain complete and timely medical documentation
• Provide comprehensive patient endorsements to ensure continuity of pediatric care

About you

• Licensed Physician with an active PRC license
• Pediatric residency training, pediatric hospital exposure, or relevant experience in managing pediatric patients is highly preferred
• BLS and/or PALS certification is an advantage
• Comfortable handling and assessing infants, children, and adolescents
• Willing to render 24-hour duty
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
