Jetvac Driver / Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Jetvac Driver to join our expanding operational team. In this field-based role, you will drive and operate a high-specification Class 2 Jetvac tanker, carrying out planned maintenance, emergency unblocking, gully cleansing, and liquid waste removal.

Duties

• Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Jetvac for cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Conduct pre-operational checks on the vehicle and equipment to ensure safety and functionality before each shift
• Drive confidently to various sites, including urban, rural, and industrial locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Perform high-pressure jetting to clear blockages, clean sewer lines, and maintain drainage systems effectively
• Complete detailed service reports, logs, and documentation for each job performed
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Skills

• Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 combination Jetvac tankers to and from job sites in compliance with UK transport laws.
• Perform high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) and vacuumation tasks to clear blockages, clean sewers, gullies, and interceptors.
• Perform daily vehicle defect inspections, maintaining equipment, hoses, and jetting nozzles in clean, safe working order.
• Complete digital job reports, waste transfer notes, and duty-of-care documentation accurately.
• Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety standards, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Liaise professionally with residential and commercial clients on site.
• Participate in a rotating out-of-hours call-out rota for emergency drainage situations

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving License.
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience driving and operating Jetvac tankers or high-pressure water jetting equipment.
• Solid understanding of health & safety practices within the utilities or drainage industry.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) certification (WRC/Water Jetting Association accredited).
• Confined Space entry certification.
• Street Works (NRSWA) qualification.
