Job Summary

RAM Precision Industries is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Jig Grinder Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating jig grinding equipment, interpreting complex engineering drawings, and producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.

This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain jig grinding machines to produce precision components.
• Perform high-accuracy grinding operations to meet tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate grinding wheels, tooling, and machine settings for specific applications.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, indicators, and bore gauges.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and other machining departments to meet production requirements.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating jig grinding machines in a precision manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, grinding techniques, and precision tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD T specifications.
• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision components.
• Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Experience in tool and die, aerospace, medical, or other precision manufacturing industries is a plus.
