Jira Developer

Job Summary We are looking for a Mid-Level Jira Developer to develop, customize, maintain, and support Jira solutions. The role will focus on Jira configuration, workflow development, automation, scripting, integrations, and platform enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, fields, schemes, permissions, and notifications.
• Configure and maintain Jira Automation rules.
• Develop Jira customizations using ScriptRunner and Groovy.
• Develop and maintain Jira integrations using REST APIs and webhooks.
• Create and optimize JQL queries, filters, dashboards, and reports.
• Integrate Jira with Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools, and third-party applications.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into Jira solutions.
• Support Jira upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements.
• Work with Development, QA, DevOps, PMO, and business teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Jira Development, Jira Administration, or Atlassian solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira Software.
• Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, screens, and custom fields.
• Experience with Jira Automation.
• Experience with ScriptRunner and Groovy.
• Good knowledge of JQL.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into Jira solutions.
• Support Jira upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements.
• Work with Development, QA, DevOps, PMO, and business teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Good knowledge of JQL.
• Experience with Jira REST APIs and webhooks.
• Experience with Confluence and Git/Bitbucket.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC.
• Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center.
• Knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Atlassian or Jira certification.
