Job Developer

Achievement House is a local nonprofit organizations in San Luis Obispo, CA, dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Job Developer, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to achieve greater independence through meaningful employment. Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with adults with disabilities to identify employment goals and provide hands-on job training and vocational instruction
• Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to create job opportunities for clients
• Conduct job market research and analyze employment trends to inform job placement strategies
• Coordinate with Job Coaches to ensure successful job placements and ongoing support for clients
• Facilitate Job Preparation classes and quarterly job club events to enhance clients workplace readiness
• Participate in community outreach and employment-related events to promote program awareness
• Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and documentation related to client progress and employer partnerships
• Place at least two clients in employment per quarter, when referrals are available

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid California Drivers License and reliable transportation
• Proof of current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable with public interaction
• Experience working with people with disabilities or transferable skills from sales, customer service, or community outreach
• Organized, self-motivated, and strong time management skills
• Basic technology and computer skills
• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required

Compensation

$24.00 per hour with a $250 sign-on bonus. Flexible scheduling is required, including days, evenings, and weekends.
