Joiner

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated site Joiner to work on 2 no listed buildings in the Stone area. you will be required to construct traditional roofs, floors, fit windows and all usual 1st and 2nd fix work

Duties

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wooden frameworks, fixtures, and fittings with precision using hand tools and power tools
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to execute project plans accurately
• Perform welding tasks as needed to join metal components securely within carpentry or roofing projects
• Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate efficient workflow on-site
• Assist with roofing installations, repairs, or modifications by applying appropriate carpentry and masonry skills
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with tools or structures during construction or renovation phases
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials

Requirements

• Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, or related trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, as well as power tools including drills and sanders
• Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively when required for structural integrity
• Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of building materials and construction techniques
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working at heights when necessary
• Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred for transporting materials or equipment
• Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: £16.15-£26.34 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
