Duties

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wooden frameworks, fixtures, and fittings according to project specifications
• Operate power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and grinders safely and effectively
• Perform roofing tasks by installing or repairing roof frameworks using appropriate materials and methods
• Conduct heavy lifting of construction materials while adhering to safety protocols
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment or structural components
• Assist with masonry work when required to support structural integrity or aesthetic finishes

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar carpentry role within construction or renovation settings is essential
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for carpentry tasks
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles relevant to construction work
• Skilled in roofing installation and repair methods
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics
• Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred for site transportation needs
• Familiarity with masonry work is advantageous but not mandatory
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving abilities

A minimum of 6 years of site experience is required, and you must be able to conduct all joinery tasks on your own, including roofs.

Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
