Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures across various projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring precision, durability, and safety in every task. Duties

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools to create custom fixtures, furniture, and structural components.
• Install cabinetry, doors, windows, roofing elements, and interior finishes with attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Fabricate components on-site or in workshops according to project specifications and drawings.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support construction activities.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as painting or sealing wood surfaces to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal.
• Collaborate with team members including masons, electricians, plumbers, and roofers to coordinate tasks effectively.
• Follow all safety protocols related to construction painting, roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and the use of hand tools and power tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience in carpentry or joinery with a strong understanding of fabrication and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers as well as power tools like drills, sanders, and saws.
• Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry basics, plumbing systems, electrical experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on quality work standards.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement and cutting skills.
• Good physical stamina for standing long hours and working in various weather conditions.
• Relevant certifications or training in carpentry or construction trades are a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: £16.17-£26.24 per hour
