Joiner – Bespoke Timber Windows & Doors

Tallents Farm Joinery Ltd is a family-run joinery business specialising in the manufacture and installation of bespoke timber windows and doors.

We are looking for an experienced Joiner to join our small team, primarily working in our workshop manufacturing bespoke timber windows and doors.

The Role

The work will include manufacturing a range of traditional and bespoke timber products, including:

• Timber casement windows
• Box sash and sliding sash windows
• Timber entrance doors
• French doors and bifold doors
• Bespoke frames, sills and other joinery
• Repair and restoration of existing timber windows and doors

We are particularly interested in someone who has previous experience manufacturing timber windows and doors and understands the construction and detailing involved.

The Ideal Candidate

You should:

• Have good practical joinery skills and workshop experience
• Have previous experience making timber windows and/or doors
• Be able to work from drawings and specifications
• Have a good eye for detail and take pride in your work
• Be able to work independently as well as as part of a small team
• Have a good attitude and be reliable
• Be comfortable working with traditional joinery methods as well as modern materials and machinery

Experience with sash windows, period-style joinery or restoration work would be an advantage but is not essential.

Tallents Farm Joinery Ltd is an established, family-run business based in Kimpton, Hertfordshire. We specialise in high-quality bespoke timber joinery and work on a variety of projects, from individual replacement windows and doors through to larger period-property and restoration projects.

We are a small team, so the right person will have the opportunity to take real pride in their work and be involved in a wide range of interesting projects.

Salary

£31,200.00 – £35,100.00 per year, depending on experience.

We are particularly interested in someone with genuine experience manufacturing timber windows and doors, and salary will reflect the level of experience and skill.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5:00pm
