Joinery CAD Draftsman

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in joinery shop drawings and furniture manufacturing, preferably in the UAE.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D modelling software is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials, hardware, and manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to prepare detailed shop drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience in detailing kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, wooden doors, wall cladding, counters, and customized furniture.
• Ability to prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Good understanding of MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneers, laminates, edge banding, and joinery accessories.
• Knowledge of fixing details, joints, hardware installation, and assembly requirements.
• Ability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings and convert them into accurate production drawings.
• Experience in coordinating with factory production teams and resolving technical issues during manufacturing.
• Ability to conduct site measurements and incorporate site conditions into shop drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise joinery shop drawings for consultant/client approval.
• Produce accurate fabrication and assembly drawings for factory production.
• Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and hardware schedules.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure drawings are practical and suitable for manufacturing.
• Maintain drawing revisions and ensure only approved drawings are issued for production.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, and production supervisors to resolve technical discrepancies.

Preferred: Previous experience working directly in a joinery manufacturing factory in the UAE.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
