Joinery Drafter and project coordinator

We are seeking a motivated Joinery Project Coordinator / Drafter with a degree in Architecture to join our commercial joinery team.

This is a hands-on role combining joinery drafting, project coordination, and technical documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with builders, architects, suppliers, our production team, and site installers to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings for client/architect approval and production
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and finishes schedules
• Coordinate joinery details with builders, architects and other trades
• Prepare accurate dimensions, details and documentation for manufacturing
• Attend site measures and incorporate site dimensions into shop drawings
• Manage drawing revisions, RFIs and approvals
• Assist with material, hardware and finishes selection
• Coordinate projects from shop drawing stage through manufacture and installation
• Liaise with factory and installation teams to resolve technical issues
• Monitor project deadlines and ensure documentation is issued on time

About You:

• Degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Interior Architecture or similar
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings and construction documentation
• Experience with AutoCAD is essential
• Joinery drafting or commercial fit-out experience is highly regarded
• Good understanding of cabinetry/joinery construction, materials and hardware is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Confident communicating with builders, architects, suppliers and site teams
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Australian construction industry experience is an advantage
