Joinery Draftsman

We are looking for an experienced Joinery Draftsman to prepare accurate shop drawings and production details for custom furniture and joinery projects. The candidate will work closely with the design, project management, production, and installation teams to ensure drawings are practical, detailed, and ready for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, production drawings, and installation drawings for joinery and custom furniture.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Prepare drawings for wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, wall panels, doors, counters, vanities, and other joinery works.
• Translate approved designs into accurate and practical manufacturing drawings.
• Review architectural and interior design drawings and identify technical requirements.
• Include accurate dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, fittings, and construction details.
• Coordinate drawings with Project Managers, Designers, Production, Procurement, and Site Teams.
• Revise drawings based on client comments, site measurements, design changes, and production requirements.
• Ensure drawings are suitable for manufacturing and site installation.
• Provide technical clarification to production and installation teams when required.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, numbering, and project documentation.
• Ensure all drawings are completed within project deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Joinery Draftsman, Furniture Draftsman, Joinery Detailer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Good understanding of joinery construction and furniture manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, and technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, fittings, and construction methods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to develop practical and production-ready drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple drawings/projects.
• UAE experience in joinery or interior fit-out is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Bazis is preferred.
• Knowledge of SketchUp or similar software is an advantage.
• Experience with custom-made or high-end furniture and joinery projects.
• Experience coordinating directly with production and installation teams.

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month
