Joinery Draftsman – Dubai

We are looking for an experienced Joinery Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of joinery and woodworking, with experience preparing detailed shop drawings for production and installation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical drawings for joinery works.
• Prepare drawings for doors, wardrobes, cabinets, wall cladding, counters, furniture, and customized joinery works.
• Produce accurate plans, elevations, sections, and construction details based on architectural and interior design drawings.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and requirements before preparing shop drawings.
• Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and site teams to ensure drawings are practical for fabrication and installation.
• Conduct site measurements and site visits when required.
• Revise drawings according to design changes, site conditions, consultant comments, and production requirements.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and completed within project deadlines.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and related documents.
• Provide technical support and clarification to production and site teams when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman, preferably in a joinery, furniture, or interior fit-out company.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other 3D software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials, hardware, fittings, and finishes.
• Ability to read and understand architectural, interior design, and technical drawings.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work within deadlines.
• UAE/GCC experience in joinery or interior fit-out is preferred.
