Joinery Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Joinery Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the Commercial Joinery Industry who can accurately estimate projects from drawings, specifications and schedules. Working closely with our project management, drafting and production teams, you will play a key role in preparing competitive and accurate quotations while ensuring projects are commercially viable.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Prepare accurate estimates and detailed quotations for joinery projects
• Take off quantities and calculate materials, labour, hardware and installation costs
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Identify project requirements, variations, exclusions and potential risks
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, builders and internal teams as required
• Assist with tender submissions and pricing negotiations
• Maintain accurate estimating records and project pricing information
• Ensure estimates are completed within required deadlines
• Work with the production and project teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to manufacture

About you

• Proven experience in AutoCAD, Advance Excel, Foxel PDF Reader, Outlook
• Cabinet making experience or strong knowledge of cabinetry construction
• Ability to produce high-quality Documents/Drawings
• Strong understanding of architectural plans and construction drawings
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Good client communication and liaison skills
• Strong computer skills
• Reliable, punctual and possess a strong work ethic
• White Card (mandatory)
