Job Summary

The Joinery Production Foreman is responsible for supervising daily workshop operations and ensuring that joinery works are produced according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. The role involves managing carpenters and joinery workers, coordinating with the production and site teams, monitoring material usage, and ensuring safe and efficient workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily joinery production activities.
• Allocate work to carpenters, joiners, machine operators, and helpers.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, cutting lists, and technical specifications.
• Ensure furniture, doors, wall panels, cabinetry, and other joinery items are manufactured according to approved drawings.
• Monitor production progress and ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Check dimensions, materials, workmanship, and finishing quality throughout production.
• Coordinate with the Production Manager, designers, draftsmen, procurement team, and site supervisors.
• Identify production issues and resolve technical or manpower-related problems.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Ensure completed items are properly labelled, protected, packed, and prepared for delivery or installation.
• Maintain good housekeeping and workshop organization.
• Enforce company health and safety procedures within the production area.
• Train and guide workers on proper production methods and quality requirements.
• Report production status, manpower requirements, material shortages, and delays to management.
• Ensure rework and defective items are identified and corrected promptly.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in joinery, carpentry, furniture, or interior fit-out production.
• Previous experience in a foreman or supervisory position is preferred.
• Good knowledge of joinery manufacturing methods and woodworking materials.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and technical drawings.
• Experience with doors, wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, wall cladding, furniture, and other custom joinery is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of woodworking machinery and workshop processes.
• Strong team-management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under production deadlines.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
