Joinery Spray Painter

Position Overview

The Joinery Spray Painter is responsible for delivering high‑quality finishing work on wood‑based products within the company’s fit‑out and manufacturing operations. The role requires strong technical capability in professional spray‑painting methods, consistent adherence to quality and safety standards, and reliable operation of the company’s dedicated paint booth. The painter supports workshop production and occasional site requirements, ensuring all finished items meet established appearance and durability expectations while maintaining effective coordination with the wider production team.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for sanding and preparing wooden surfaces including doors, panels, cabinetry, and furniture to ensure proper priming and finishing.

· Responsible for mixing, matching, and applying PU, NC, AC, stains, and topcoats using spray guns inside the company’s dedicated paint booth to achieve high‑quality finishes.

· Operate the factory paint booth including managing airflow, spray environment, temperature, and humidity to maintain optimal finishing conditions.

· Inspect finished surfaces to ensure smoothness, uniformity, correct color tone, and absence of defects such as orange peel, runs, or pinholes.

· Responsible for cleaning, calibrating, and maintaining spray guns, compressors, and paint booth equipment including filters, ventilation systems, lighting, and booth cleanliness.

· Work closely with production teams including carpenters, foremen, and supervisors to meet project timelines and deliver finishes aligned with client specifications.

· Follow all HSE and safety guidelines including proper handling of chemicals, PPE usage, and safe operation of the paint booth.

· Understand various wood materials such as MDF, solid wood, veneer, and engineered boards, and apply correct finishing techniques based on material behavior.

· Apply proper time management practices to complete tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced fit‑out and manufacturing environment.

· Perform painting or touch‑up work on site when required, ensuring finishes match workshop standards and project specifications.

· Handle any other responsibility or task assigned by the production supervisor, including rework, color sampling, and assistance during installation phases.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2–5 years of experience in a UAE joinery or fit‑out factory
• Proficient in PU, NC, AC, stains, primers, and finishing systems.
• Skilled in HVLP/LVLP spray guns and sanding tools.
• Experience operating and maintaining a dedicated paint booth, including airflow control, filter maintenance, and booth cleanliness.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in finishing quality.
• Knowledge of wood materials used in joinery production.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Basic English communication for coordination and safety compliance.
• Proactive, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Currently based in the UAE and be based in Umm Al Quwain, UAE

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
