Journeyman Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, and repair of structures ranging from foundational framing to high-end finish work. You have completed a formal apprenticeship or have equivalent field experience, meaning you can read blueprints, solve problems on-site, and work efficiently with some supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, decking, siding, trim work and other general carpentry tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans and job specifications
• Lift and move objects as needed to support construction process
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes
• Works well with a team and communicates effectively to other team members and job lead
• Travel to various job sites as required

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional carpentry experience OR completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship program
• Technical Mastery: Proficiency with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery (e.g., table saws, miter saws, pneumatic nailers)
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb scaffolding, and work in various weather conditions
• Logistics: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute between job sites
• Tools: Ownership of standard hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
