We are looking for an experienced journeyman carpenter who brings the ability and energy to support our lead carpenter, our crew, and various subcontractors and trades people. We need an adaptable, personable, and proactive team member to own this position. The Opportunity

You will be responsible for working with a Lead Carpenter to carry out on-site operations of our projects, both alone and supervised. You will also work with various field personnel and maintain good communication with various trades people to make sure the job is finished on time and within budget. You will also demonstrate leadership skills and will maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Carpenter in day-to-day scheduling and field oversight
• Carry out a variety of carpentry tasks from foundation to finish alone and/or with the support of our crew.
• Ability to lead/work with crew members of varying skill level.
• Assist Lead Carpenter with project planning and meeting of site goals/deadlines
• Ensure job site safety is maintained
• Work closely with Lead Carpenter and team to identify and solve problems in the field.
• Ensure project is completed on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
• Ability to follow directions from Lead Carpenter and/or blueprints and perform unsupervised quality work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a journeyman or lead in residential and/or commercial construction.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
• Ability to read and understand Architectural plan sets (all disciplines)
• Technical understanding of residential and commercial construction including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices
• Capable of problem solving and experience with complex detailed projects
• Ability to read and answer emails, phone calls, and/or text messages.
• Self-motivated to learn quickly
• Solution oriented
• Ability to get along and work well with others.
• Plumbing and/or electrical skills a bonus.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
